Protest hits Kano over ECOWAS' arranged military mediation in Niger
twelfth August 2023
Fights have hit Kano State over the
Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS) arranged organization of a backup military power in Niger.
The dissidents on Saturday set out on an exhibit to show their dismay at the arranged military intrusion of the Niger Republic.
While moving in a parade, they recited, "Nigeriens are our siblings; Nigeriens are likewise our families.
"Niger is our own; we don't need war; battle against Niger is unfairness, a plot by the Western powers."
They showed Nigerian and Nigerian banners close by bulletins, reciting against war expressions.
In the interim, the Niger junta had declared a cut of political binds with Nigeria.
Thus, Nigeria cut off power supply to Niger.
It was revealed that on 26 July, the tactical junta ousted Niger's equitably chosen President, Mohamed Bazoum.
